Meet Mobile: Swim App Reviews

I am new to swimming, but not new to mobile development. 1. Your help links to web pages that are not mobile friendly...yikes! 2. If I am supposed to "sign up" where is that done? 3. I enter criteria like "MN"....nothing. There was a high school meet at the U of MN yesterday. I cant find it. Search should be easy. 4. Auto-cap the 1st letter typed. 5. Your message are too long. Mobile users are not the same as web. Good try, but you have a lot of work ahead of you.

This is the best app! I use it all the time

If I could, I would give it 0 stars. In typical Active fashion, they screw up what should be an easy thing. And to top it off, I paid for the annual subscription on my iPhone, and now, even though Ive followed their directions half a dozen times, I cannot view results of my sons swim meets on my iPad.

I am giving one star because of two reasons, 1. The app never really worked properly, and, when it did function, required in-app purchases to obtain more than minimal information; and 2. Poor customer service. I ended up deleting the app 10 months ago, after attempting to use it maybe 3 times over 1 swim meet weekend, and I thought I had cancelled the subscription. My son stopped competitively swimming due to an injury a few months later. However, a few days ago, I had a mystery charge of $5.99 show up from iTunes on my PayPal account labeled as "gift." After I finally figured out what the charge was for, I contacted this company immediately requesting a refund, explaining everything I listed above. Their reply, two days later, was basically, sorry for your trouble. We refuse to refund your money due to "policy," and here are the links to turn off auto-renew on your iTunes account. I will accept some responsibility for totally forgetting to cancel a renewal subscription of an app I deleted 11 months ago. However, when someone contacts you immediately, requesting a refund for only for the renewal charge for another year, not benefited or accessed AT ALL in the under 24hrs since renewal, nor will use during the coming year, (I did not ask for a refund for last year, I consider that a lesson learned in trying an app that promised more that it delivered) I find it absurd that a "policy" prevents you from issuing a refund, or even a credit toward another app. Why even bother to apologize to me? Yes, I do believe developers deserve to be paid for the work they do, but when the complaint is a legitimate one, it would be nice for them to acknowledge it and try to retain the customer. This review would have been much different had they done so. $6 may not seem like a lot to most people. For me its a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk, if they are both on sale. ;) For this company, if these "auto-renewals" have happened to more than just me, Im sure it has been quite the profit for them. Congratulations.

This app is horrible and a ripoff. DO NOT BUY. Paid the 5.99 for the year got nothing for it. Support is m-f when almost all meets are the weekend... Nice being available when the people who use the app actually will use it!

Overall when this app works its good. The problem is about half of the meets dont work. I didnt mind when the app was free but now Im paying for something that only works about half the time. Some of our leagues no longer use it to post results so Im paying a year for basically about three months of use and it works about half the time. But when it does work I am happy with it. Maybe lower the price or someone else come up with a better option!!

I dont care why. The subscription fee is pointless.

There are so many bugs with this app and its glitches out and then you have to close the app and re open it I would love to keep using it but this needs to be fixed asap!!!!!!!

Honestly, the last two meets this app didnt work. The app got stock and after the event 8, nothing else advanced. After weeks (and a couple of emails) the app was running again and I was able to see the results. Todays, on Championships its worst. Some kids names are on the list, but not event results. Girls and boys and age groups are wrong listed and mixed up on categories... Frustrating

It used to work ok. Then it got pricey - became less reliable and now it freezes 3 screens in so I can do no times. Please fix - I love it when it works (and even better when it was less $$). Its not 1penny when it wont show times!

This app used to be a solid 4 star. Of course, the fee that everyone complains about brought it down to a 2.5. To make matters even worse, it now crashes all the time and doesnt allow me to view some meets. And do not even get me started about searching for meets. Why am I paying if I can barely use it?

I have no trouble paying 50 cents a month, but with the increase in revenue I am astonished at how buggy the app still is. Sometimes when I click on events it wont let me go back and I have to restart the app. It happens CONSTANTLY. Needs fix asap

Just because people WILL pay for something doesnt mean its ethical to charge them for it. This app does not and cannot control whether the meet manager is timely in publishing results... If you cant control the app, you shouldnt be able to charge people for the "service"... There are no additional costs to post the information--its unethical to charge people as if there are.

The seed number is wrong after results are entered in the system. For example if you are seeded 5th, and get 7th place, it will say your seed is 7th once the results load into the app.

I cannot believe I rarely find out meet on meet mobile. St Paul Central in Minnesota. Why? Other St Paul conference schools are on meet mobile. A terrible waste of money. You have to pay monthly and it takes forever to update

App is great when you can find the meet. Very difficult. Can eventually be found, but after trying 10 different ways. Use the funds to make it easier.

Meet mobile frequently glitches and freezes up. The only way to unfreeze the app is to close it out altogether.
